In FY2008, these clean energy solutions enabled Energy Developments to capture an estimated 8.8 million tonnes of Greenhouse Gas (measured as tonnes carbon dioxide equivalents) from its projects around the world. That is equivalent to taking 2.8 million cars from the road.
In Australia, the Company prevents more than 5 million tonnes of CO2 and other forms of GHG pollution entering the atmosphere, while producing enough clean electricity to power approximately 200,000 homes each year.
Energy Developments projects participate in greenhouse gas emission credit schemes throughout the world, with credits derived from LFG and WCMG projects.
